Invisible Painters was born after a long process of research and writing. Although its origin comes from the world of improvised music it wants to look far beyond, mixing with electronic music, ambient and 20th century music, crossing the usual definitions and categories; double bass, piano, drums and bass clarinet blend their timbres with synthesizers, samples and field recordings, between digital sounds and love for analog.

The Invisible Painters embody the gesture of artistic creation, the unconscious and instinctive impulse it generates, the invisible hand and brush with which the artist creates extemporaneously. It is in this balance between awareness and instinct, composition and extemporaneity that the music of this new group was born.

The Roland Paraphonic RS-505 played by Ferdinando on (04) appears courtesy of Leonardo Barbadoro (aka Koolmorf Widesen) and was recorded at his studio. Many thanks to Nicola Cappelletti for working together on programming and electroacoustic elaborations on sampled drums for (07).
